It's been awhile since I have posted here...been busy working on the second season of Axe Cop. Also working on number of pitch packets for animated projects with number of talented writers. Have done some pitch meetings so far and they went all well. Hopefully, things will develop for one or two of these projects.
It's fun to develop project from the start and see them through by creating the characters and story their in.
Wishing you all well!

Now working on the second season of Axe Cop...it's already a blast to be jumping back into this show!
Also finally finished working on all 130 pages of GEEK! now it needs to get lettered and colored. It's already half way there in colors. Looking forward in seeing this bad boy in print!
Will start work on a new secret animated project. Actually working on three animated show pitches...so it's exciting to be working on fun stuff this past year...2014 so have more in store! :)
Wishing you all a great weekend and hope you're enjoying the holiday season!

It's called "Check Please!" a 80 page art book filled with art drawn on guest checks....by many talented artists! I even contributed a few pieces to this project...it would be totally awesome to get to see this book printed. Please, give it a look...hopefully you got a few bucks to spare? Also please spread the word on this project to your friends and family! :)

Happy 2013!!!

Hey all wanted to wish everyone one of you a wonderful 2013! I only want the best for all of you! Let's doodle like crazy for this year and beyond!

I will be hammering away on these pages for GEEK! so all of you can read it by San Diego Comic Con 2013! Which is the time I want to be debuting the book! I did get a table/booth space as well for Comic Con with good buddy Eric Canete. Space #1631...but that number could change in the future once the Comic Con folks figure out the layout of the floor...they sent out a letter stating that there will be changes on this. So i hope to see some of you there!

For the first Convention of the year...I'll be doing (hopefully) Wonder Con in the end of March...then form there it's up in the air. There's SDCC that I already mention before in July. Maybe I'll be sitting in for a day or two at Anime Expo. There's also NYCC and CTN but those two conventions won't happen way later in the the year.

Please let me know what conventions or things you all will be doing in the coming weeks and the rest of the year!

Also don't forget that my latest sketchbook, Japon-"Wake Me for the Duty Free"...can still be order through this blog. :P

I'm charging $10 for the sketchbook plus shipping and handling($5). I also ship internationally which will cost $12 (even though it states I ship in the US only). I will be doing a quick sketch in each book that is ordered as well.

If any of you are interested in buying original art and commissions...one can go through Essential Sequential

I'll catch you all later...and rock on!

Cheer,
Axel

Nueva York Comic Con

Hey all! It's been awhile since my last post. Been busy in my end...from going to NYC for the NY Comic Con to moving into my office space at Titmouse Animation in Hollywood.
Here's a few pics for you all to check out on my trip.
Overall NYCC was pretty good...it was crowded with folks walking the aisles. Tickets sold out right before the con started as well. I did well in selling my latest sketchbook, Japon. I even did quite a few sketches/commissions for folks. It was great to get a chance to talk to new con goers whom normally wouldn't be able to attend west coast conventions like San Diego. I'm really thinking of doing it again next year...let see. :)

Cheers,
Axel

Comikaze 2012

Hey all wanted to share some doodles I did this past weekend at Comikaze. It was held at the LA Convention Center. There were a bunch of folks in Saturday...a long line to get in. With the sun beating down on those folks on that line...it was not fun.
The folks that run Comikaze should have been better prepared for this also other things during the con didn't run as smoothly as well.
Sunday was a disappointment...sakes wise...the crowds were less than Saturday. If I do this convention again I will go and artist alley instead of a 10x10...it's way cheaper. Plus they want to add an extra day...and charge more...I say forget that! Now they're doing Comic con prices...but without the comic con crowds with money to spend. Oh well I can stop venting now. I want to wish you all a great day! Also remember there's 9 more day on the GEEK Kickstarter please help spread the word and support if you can!

 Thanks!

Hey all! Wanted to share the pencils to page 3 of GEEK! with page 4 to follow soon. Let me know what you all think? Cool things will be coming up for GEEK! as well promoting the Kickstarter. Matt and I have some ideas of throwing parties and such here in Los Angeles...more news to come. We still need support on the Kickstarter...if you can help in anyway that would be very cool, please spread the word...Thanks! GEEK! Kickstarter
