GEEK! Logo

Wanted to share with you all the GEEK! logo that I worked on not too lone ago. Let me know what you all think of it? To be honest...I'm not that great when it comes to producing logos...I tend to go to Graphic Designers...or artists that are font/lettering masters. But I took it upon myself to take a crack on this...I really felt good once I got to this point with it. I based it from the font that Matt Cohen used for the opening video for the Kickstarter page for GEEK! Also wanted to let you all know there well be upcoming events in promoting GEEK! here in Los Angeles. On Sept 22 there will be one at the Petra Gallerie in Los Angeles/ Beverly Hills area. I'll update it with the exact time...it may start around 7pm. We'll be promoting GEEk! of course with a Bagged and Boarded podcast that will be taped plus drinks...munchies...art...and etc. :) I hope some of you can make it that day. We still have 18 days left on the Kickstarter for GEEK...so hopefully some of you can help spread the word and support! Here's the link, GEEK! Thanks! Leroy and the Last Day of Class for the Term.

Hey all it's the last day of the term today. Will be looking forward in seeing what my students of mine will be presenting tonight in class. I'll be ordering pizza and some drinks so we can chow down while we do our presentations. I will be giving them the first hour to finish up on their Child and Dragon project.

I should be good to go for the next term....so if any of you wanna take my class you still have sometime.

Well, I uploaded a doodle of LeRoy a character I developed for a project I'm working on...he looks so adorable, doesn't he? Time for me to go. Please go out and enjoy thios wonderful day...well, it's a nice and sunny day here in L.A. But hopefully it's nice out where you are at. I'll catch you all later.

HHHart the Root Monster

Here's a doodle of HHHart one of my creatures. I wanted to show you all my process from pencils to inks to colors in doing a design like this.
1. start off with rough pencils.
2. ink the piece traditionally like HHHart but I also ink digitally.
3. use Photoshop for colors. From time to time I'll use Painter, Sketchbook Pro to color my pieces. That said...Photoshop is the main software that I use.
