Hmmm...what to do next?

Here's the line art of Joe I did as a demo for my students last night. I inked this piece using a nice watercolor brush size 0 and Black India ink. I also use a pigment linear pen for some of the details. I'll will like to color this pieces soon.

Had a not so great day today....and yesterday was sooo great.

Well, I'll catch you all later.

Ink job came out pretty good!

I haven't really tried inking any of my stuff yet. I did try doing a few sketches with some faber castell brush pens that I have but man it didn't come out very well.

Hey Paulehr, thanks for liking this piece.
I ink this piece using a Winsor Newton Series 7 Watercolor size 0....If you really want to get into inking I say get a nice watercolor brush and dip it into some India ink and rock n roll. You gotta practice practice practice!
Brush pens are tricky...all of them are not the same. Some of them plain suck while others rock. I use these brush pens from Japan...I don't know what they're call...but I get a crap load of them when I get them a shop in Little Tokyo. Well, catch you later.

thanks for the tip, I am going to start with the regular micron type pens for the time being. What I'll do is if I have a drawing that didn't work out, I'll practice on that without worrying about messing it up till I built up my skill and confidence.

Hey Paulehr, try using a light box to ink over your pencils. That's what I do...so if I really mess up...my pencils are kept intact. Using microns are cool....I used them for my sketches...and final art...but I really think you should at least try to use a brush as well. You can also do a dip pen as well?
Feel free to show me what you have done...cool?

Bear in mind I am getting back into drawing after 10 years. So some things are a little rough...

Hey Paul,

thanks for the link to your Flicker account. Really cool ideas...just keep drawing drawing drawing....you need to get into a grove. In time you're drawings will get better. Also taking a life drawing class would be helpful...draw from life...it really does help. Catch you later.

Thanks for the tips, I am trying to work on something at least once a day (time permits).

as for life drawing I know there is a couple of things around the house I would love to take a crack at. I am also looking to see if any local art studios have any live model drawing nights of some sort.
