A GEEK! page being inked

Hello all! Wanted to share an image I took of me inking a page using a lightbox. I do this to keep the line art clean pencil marks. Of course there are times I really want that rough and dirty look...so I'll ink right on top of the pencils. If anyone has questions about my process...feel free to ask by leaving a comment. :)

GEEK! page uno inked

Hello all, fo some reason I thought I had uploaded the inks to page one of GEEK! here on my blog...apparently not. :P Well here it is for all of you to look over. Gotta get ready this weekend to pack some stuff for my upcoming trip to NYC...pants, shirts,underwear, pencils, bristol paper, etc. Want to wish everyone a great weekend and remember to draw draw DRAW! G.E.E.K! Funded!!!

GEEK! Logo

Wanted to share with you all the GEEK! logo that I worked on not too lone ago. Let me know what you all think of it? To be honest...I'm not that great when it comes to producing logos...I tend to go to Graphic Designers...or artists that are font/lettering masters. But I took it upon myself to take a crack on this...I really felt good once I got to this point with it. I based it from the font that Matt Cohen used for the opening video for the Kickstarter page for GEEK! Also wanted to let you all know there well be upcoming events in promoting GEEK! here in Los Angeles. On Sept 22 there will be one at the Petra Gallerie in Los Angeles/ Beverly Hills area. I'll update it with the exact time...it may start around 7pm. We'll be promoting GEEk! of course with a Bagged and Boarded podcast that will be taped plus drinks...munchies...art...and etc. :) I hope some of you can make it that day. We still have 18 days left on the Kickstarter for GEEK...so hopefully some of you can help spread the word and support! Here's the link, GEEK! Thanks! GEEK! Page Uno

Hey all! Wanted to share with you the the pencils to page one of GEEK! It's ready to be inked...but I'm thinking in inking this page separately...instead of placing inks on top of the pencils. To see how it looks...granted this will be more work, but it nice to see the pencils and inks separated.
I'll be uploaded to next three soon. Also wanted to let you know we still need to spread the word on the Kickstarter campaign for GEEK! We need support in reaching our goal...thank you all that want to help! :)

Long Beach One Day Convention

Hello all...hopefully everyone had a great weekend. Well, I had a table in artist alley this past Saturday over at LBCC. I really wasn't excepting much...I did alright in sales of my new sketchbook, Japon. I also sold some prints plus some commission sketches as well. It kind of prep me up for Comic Con in San Diego in July. I'll be in artist alley there sharing space with my great friend, Eric. We'll also be selling stuff plus making appearance at another booth...more info will come...with dates time and booth #'s.
Well, I wanted to share some images from LBCC that I took with my mobile phone.

G.E.E.K. a sneak peak

Hey all, wanted to share with you a pencil doodle of a poster art/concept for G.E.E.K. a project that I'm working with Matt Cohen of Camel Toad Productions. Matt is doing all the writing on for the story. We will be putting this up soon to KickStarter to raise some funds. We also have Shawn DePasquale helping out as editor. We're totally looking forward in bringing G.E.E.K. out for all of you to check out. :)
Also Matt has two podcasts that you all can check out in iTunes, Bagged & Boarded and Smidnight in the Smodcast newtwork.

Bat Slippers!

Piece done in straight inks and ink washes and markers. Scanned in and added a bit of Photoshop work on top.

Little Hellboy...ready to play.

Wanted to share a doodle I did of Hellboy for all for you to check out. Don in straight pencils and inks...then colored in ink wash and markers...then scanned and finished up in Photoshop. Let me know what you all think?

LOST ANGELES Thirty Five Days with Kevin Eastman

Hey all! Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break! I want to let you all know about a very cool event, Lost Angeles 35 Days with Kevin Eastman...coming up real soon this Wednesday at the Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles. The event starts at 6pm...lasting til midnight. Fun to be have to be have that's for sure. Starting off with celebrating the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles then the coming days and weeks after for the next 35 days...there will be more events held.
If you happen to be in Los Angeles at the time or a local...try to make your way to Meltdown Comics...fun will be had.
