Gargantuan Art Book

A page from my Sketchbook...

Hey all, how are you all doing? Hopefully well...and trucking along. How about the U.S. being downgraded to AA from a AAA rating? I think it's sad...we're a bunch of losers in this country. Being born and raised here in the U S of A...I will lump myself with the good and the BAD coming from this country....now the stock market has took a dive...by 600+ points...oh joy.

I wanted to upload a page from my new sketchbook for all of you to check out....let me know what you all think? Good....OK....or shit?

Ready to ride?

Wanted to upload a drawing I did last night of a racer. Let me know what you all think? This piece was done on a 10x15 paper straight pencils. I normally work on 8x11...but I felt working on a bigger space. It felt nice....most likely I'll be doing more at this or bigger? Well, wanna wish you all a great weekend. Oh yes, this weekend in Pasadena, CA...there will be a convention called Bot Con come to think of it...it's already started on the 2nd which was yesterday...so if you're in the area and you're into all things Transformers and robots swing on by. :)

Have you seen my arms?

Hey all, here's a quick sketch I did in a new sketchbook which I scanned and then colored in Photoshop. Let me know what you think? He suppose to be a driver of some sort...have a little story idea about this characters and more like him that race....the only think is these racer/drivers man vehicles with out the use of arms. I wonder if that makes sense?

Bedtime Doodles...

Hey all,

Just wanted to upload an image here from my sketchbook titled, "Bedtime Doodles"
From the title you can guess that these sketches that I'm doing in this sketchbook are done in bed...before I go to sleep. I figure it's a cool thing to do before going to sleepy land.
This sketch is done in straight mechanical pencils....sizes .3 and .7 . Then I scanned into my computer and added a bit of color tone by using Sketchbook Pro. Let me know what you all think? Well, I'm almost packed...so I'll be heading out to San Francisco late Wednesday morning. I catch anyone there that happens to make it.

Playing with Sketchbook Pro 2011

I got a upgrade copy of Sketchbook Pro 2011 for my birthday...so I installed it and started playing with it. Granted I have been using Sketchbook Pro for a few years now...but with 2011...the interface changed a bit...so I started playing with it. So far so good....no real big changes to the overall program....but the pencil tool is really darn cool.
With this image below...I did it all using the airbrush tool. Feels good using it. Let me know what you think? I totally recommend to anyone out there to grab a copy of Sketchbook Pro for their digital sketching needs. I'll catch you all later. :)
