CTN...will you be there?

Hello party people! wanted to let you all know I'll be attending CTN this coming weekend...I'll be at table T-102. It will be my first time doing this show by getting a table space...I have attended this show before for the past three years...I really enjoy myself there. Lots of cool folks to meet there.

I will be selling copies of my sketchbook, Japon! There will be prints and original art for sale as well. Plus I will be doing sketches (commissions) as well at the show. Hit me up here if you like to be put on the sketch list. Sketches will be $20. New York was nutty for my this year...better to start that list early.
But if one wants to do a bigger commission (higher price) it will need to be done after the show.

I hope to see some of you there..it would be great to chat with some of you! :)

Here's a link to the CTN site

I'll catch you all later,

GEEK! Logo

Wanted to share with you all the GEEK! logo that I worked on not too lone ago. Let me know what you all think of it? To be honest...I'm not that great when it comes to producing logos...I tend to go to Graphic Designers...or artists that are font/lettering masters. But I took it upon myself to take a crack on this...I really felt good once I got to this point with it. I based it from the font that Matt Cohen used for the opening video for the Kickstarter page for GEEK! Also wanted to let you all know there well be upcoming events in promoting GEEK! here in Los Angeles. On Sept 22 there will be one at the Petra Gallerie in Los Angeles/ Beverly Hills area. I'll update it with the exact time...it may start around 7pm. We'll be promoting GEEk! of course with a Bagged and Boarded podcast that will be taped plus drinks...munchies...art...and etc. :) I hope some of you can make it that day. We still have 18 days left on the Kickstarter for GEEK...so hopefully some of you can help spread the word and support! Here's the link, GEEK! Thanks! I will update with more stuff very soon. :) Have a great day! -Axel

Comic Con 2012

Hello all...wanted to share a few pics from this past Comic Con in San Diego. Overall is was a good show..I did fell a bit short in my sales of my sketchbook...I gave myself a minimum number to hit for my sales goal. I did sell some prints and original artwork as well.
Running back and forth to two spots on the floor was a bit much...but it was cool...but my back was really hurting throughout the convention.
Hopefully I'll get that Artist Alley table or Exhibtor table next year.
I'm looking into doing other conventions this Fall. New York Convention and Comikaze! Maybe Long Beach Comic Con. I'm looking into CTN as well in November which should be a cool show.
Well, I'll catch you all later.

Cheers,
Axel

WonderCon 2012

Hello All!

Just wanted to share with you a few pics taken this past weekend at WonderCon in Anaheim.
Overall it was a good show...myself and my mates at the table had a good time with chatting with the folks that stopped by the table.
But myself and few friends with tables there on the floor did better sale wise last year when the show was in it's home of San Francisco. Hopefully, it will go back to SF next year...but one never know what the Comic Con folks will actually be doing for this event?

My sketchbook, Japon was well received by the folks that stopped by the table and picked up a copy...Stuart Ng picked a a few copies to sell at his store in Torrance.
Got a chance to do a few commissions as well...plus sell only two prints, I'll do better on the next convention. :P

Also, if anyone is interested please feel free to contact me about getting a copy of Japon over to you by pressing the "Buy" button right here on the blog. I'll gladly do a sketch for each sketchbook that's ordered.

Well, I'll catch you later and remember to doodle your buts off!

Cheers,
Axel
