Hmmm...what to do next?

Here's the line art of Joe I did as a demo for my students last night. I inked this piece using a nice watercolor brush size 0 and Black India ink. I also use a pigment linear pen for some of the details. I'll will like to color this pieces soon.
Had a not so great day today....and yesterday was sooo great.
Well, I'll catch you all later.

A Sketch in the West Village

A sketch I did on the table cover made of paper, over at The Spotted Pig in the West Village. I think the bus ended up taking once I walked away from the table. This piece was done in straight color pencils, brown and white onto a tone paper. I do have to say that the Spotted Pig makes some great burgers. I'll catch you all later.
Cheers from NYC,

Sketches from my Sketchbook

Hey all! Here's a page from one of my tone sketchbooks. Lately, it's been pretty busy in my end. Trying to check off stuff from my To-Do-List. But it seems that everytime I check one thing off, I need to add two more things on that list...oh boy. I'll catch you all later.

Van Helsing Project

Here are roughs sketches I did as demos for my Character Design Class....wish I had more time to do more but my time has been very limited lately.
I am having my students redesign/design characters for Van Helsing. The students are coming up with some really nice drawings so far. Looking forward in seeing these designs through to the end! Let me know what you think of the sketches? See you all later.

Sarris

Here's a pencil drawing of Sarris, from the movie Galaxy Quest. I did this as a demo for my class last Thursday. even though this design is my take...I do like the Stan Winston design used for the movie. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to color....one of these days.
I've been pretty busy lately. I've taken a lot of freelance work in the past week and half...I'm hoping I didn't bite more that I can chew. But sometimes I do have a hard time saying "no" to clients that have call me up that I like working with. I don't man to do this...but I can't help it. I do have to learn to say "No". Well, let me know what you all think of the design.

Killer Klowns Project

Just started teaching my Character Design class for the Spring term over at Gnomon http://www.gnomon3d.com/
The class project I'm having them do is redesigning characters from a classic 80's flick done by the Chiodo Bros.......Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
I had the kids watch the movie and after that talk to them a bit in what I would like for them to do......the sketches above are examples of Killer Klowns. Let me know what you all think?
