Wanted to share 3 pics of the Tim Burton Exhibit that I took. I went to LACMA on Halloween to catch this event before it closed down later that night. It was awesome to be able to walk through this exhibit and see all those wonderful pieces. I really did get inspired since I first saw the show back last year at MOMA in New York. Long Beach Comic Con

Hey all wanted to let you know that I will be at the Long Beach Comic Con this coming weekend.
I'll be at the Dig Deep Production's booth #110....which be somewhere in the front..I think? :P
If any of you happen to be in the Los Angeles area...drive down to Long Beach and spent a nice day walking around the convention.
I'll even be doing sketches starting at $20 a pop...so feel free to ask for a doodle. At the booth Dig Deep Prod will be selling a very limited "Agent 88" prints that I illustrated. If you pick one up I'll gladly do a doodle for you. Feel free to just stop by to say,"hey"that would be totally cool. :)

Hey all! How's everyone? Got your Halloween outfit all picked out I hope? Well, I wanted to let you all know about an upcoming event at the Petra Gallerie in Los Angeles...called Cowborg's Spaceport. It's a while idea from gallery owner John P. Felix. A number of artist including myself will be showing pieces for this wonderful show.
I uploaded as you can see below the image that I have produced....it's done in straight pencils. I will be adding more details and colors to this piece digitally. I believe this piece this piece will be on sale as a print...so feel free to order for yourself.

So if any of you have a bit of time Saturday night feel free to stop and chill for a bit. I'll be there hanging out. I'll even do a sketch for you...if you ask nicely. :P

Hollywood Forever for Day of the Dead Event

Hello all, Went to the Hollywood Forever Dia de los Muertos last night. Such a cool event to go to in Los Angeles. There was plenty to see on the cemetery grounds. Wonderful looking alter along the paths. There was music and dance being preformed at certain areas as well. If any of you happen to live in L.A....you should give this event a try.
There will be more Day of the Dead events in L.A....coming soon in and around Halloween. November 2nd is the official day to celebrate, the memories of our love ones that past on.

Hey all wanted to let you know that the Wildlings game has gone live and you can purchase it here in iTunes . Let me know what you all think of the game? I did some character design work on it that's about it...the fine crew at Metamoki did a great job on this game. I like how they executed it overall. Yes, it has cute looking characters...the BG design is lovely...the game play is easy, but it does get a bit challenging when you play it through....Looking forward in playing the new levels in the updates as well. It was awesome...my buddy Snakebit that runs the gallery set me up with a drawing table and chair. So for the whole evening I sat down and doodle away the night away. had a few drinks and talked with a few folks about my drawing process. I even did a interview for a new video podcast that will be coming out in iTunes soon. I'll let you all know about that when it comes out. Thinking about it hopefully it doesn't come out ok. :P
Oh yes...I uploaded two drawings that I did at the event...these pieces were done on 3'x17' bristol paper. These were strips that I cut out from bigger pads that were used as comic pages. Let me know what you think? Well, I'll catch you all later.

Myself and my mentor...

Sketch Theatre Book Signing at La Luz de Jesus

Hello Everyone-

There will be a big promo signing for "Art of ST Volume 1" being hosted by La Luz
De Jesus in Hollywood next Thursday August 11th!

So if you happen to be in the LA...Los Feliz area...make your way to the gallery and hang out. If you pick up a book...I'll make sure to do a cool sketch for you!

There will also be drink and munchies provided! Come on who doesn't like drink and munchies? :P
So on Thursday night get off the couch and head over to La Luz de Jesus...you dig?

Here's a piece I scanned from my SF#2 sketchbook. Let me know what you all think?
This piece was done using a straight Pilot pen size .25...really small tip.

Hopefully, I'll get all the pages to this sketchbook scanned so I can put it together as a small art book that I can put out there for all of you to get a chance to buy a copy.

Dang, It's already Wednesday...just last week Wednesday I was already in San Diego...man that whole Comic Con experience is such a blur. Need to recover...getting back to work mode...has been slow.

Hey all! I got back from 6 days in San Diego for Comic Con...man...I'm beat. Now trying to get back to work mode....which is gonna be a bit hard. :P

Well, I finally got a chance to meet up with Axel Alonso, Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics. We tried and failed at Wonder Con...but made it happen in San Diego. Super cool dude....we chatted for a bit and talked about how we ended being named Axel...he gave me his story and I gave him mine. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet up with him again when I go back to New York City. I uploaded an image of us two at the Marvel booth.

For Comic Con 2011..overall it was a cool convention...good lord there was a crap load of folks walking that convention floor....but what else is new in that front? :P

Hey party people! Just wanted to let you know that this coming Saturday the 16 in Hollywood, California at the Gnomon School of Visual Effect's Gallery. There will be an event, The Art of Sketch Theatre vol 1 book release party! It should be a loads of fun for all artistic and non artistic types. For more info click on this link
One can pick up a copy of the new art book and get it signed by all the artists there....which is pretty cool....get a chance to chat with an artist featured in Sketch Theatre and asked him or her some questions or just have a nice chat.
I should be swinging by for a bit to do a bit of doodling and sipping of the special sauce. :P
